Ministry Development Council, Inc.

PURPOSES
AND FUNCTIONS
The
purpose for which this organization has been organized is as follows:
1) The Ministry
Development Council will foster collegiality among clinicians, church
leaders and others toward its purposes.
2) The Ministry
Development Council exists to strengthen and support organizations and
individuals that serve the churches in promoting healthy and effective
leadership for ministry.
3) The Ministry
Development Council serves as a catalyst for addressing leadership issues
facing the churches, including the assessment, development, and support
of candidates and church leaders in spiritual formation, vocational
discernment, and career counseling.
4) The Ministry
Development Council will use resources from its denominational membership
to engage in an accreditation process for its constituent centers.
MEMBERSHIP
1.
Qualifications for Membership
Membership
in the Ministry Development Council. Membership in the Ministry
Development Council shall consist of all those clinicians and representatives
of church bodies who are concerned with fostering, sustaining and developing
church leadership and who are committed to the synthesis of spiritual
formation, vocational discernment, career counseling and development,
and psychology.
Associate Membership. Others
who are invited to join the Ministry Development Council as Associate
Members. Associate members will receive periodic updates about the
work of the Ministry Development Council and will be invited to colloquia
to discuss issues of spiritual formation, vocational development and
career counseling.
2.
Membership Meetings
Regular
meetings of the organization shall be held at the place and time designated
by the Board of Directors and set forth in the notice of the meeting.
The annual
membership meeting of the organization shall be held on a date fixed
for same by the Board of Directors. The secretary shall cause to be
mailed to every member in good standing at his/her address as it appears
on the membership roll book a notice stating the time and place of the
annual meeting.
